Zen is an animated short set in a bamboo forest, following a mechanical samurai practicing a bamboo-cutting routine set to hip-hop fusion music. The project was developed collaboratively as one of the first Visualization projects at Texas A&M to use a shifted Unreal Engine production pipeline.
I sculpted and surfaced multiple nature props, taking the rock assets through the full pipeline. I also built and sculpted the landscape, implemented team assets, and supplemented the environment with Quixel assets.
Rock assets were created in ZBrush and textured in Substance Painter, with the environment assembled and rendered in Unreal Engine 5.
